Three Things Thursday | Week 2

[1] Life is like a butterfly: Trust postcrossing for some lovely surprises every now and then into my mailbox. Here's one postcard I received from Nataly (Canada). Along with a sweet message where she talks about her recent fun trip to British Columbia, also included are recipe cards and a butterfly made by her daughter. Isn't it super sweet? Gestures like these from complete strangers does make you realize the beauty of a handwritten note when compared to an email.

[2] Wake up with determination: A series of recent eye-opening experiences have prompted me to start taking action towards a healthy lifestyle. September is my birthday month and isn't it true that there is no love better than self-love. :-) So, I promptly gifted myself a Fitbit Flex. First week was a complete disaster but slowly & steadily am discovering these little window of opportunities where I can log my steps. Last two weeks have been good and am consistently clocking 10K steps. I have a long way to go but as Brian Tracy (Eat That Frog fame) once said - 'Develop an attitude of gratitude, and give thanks for everything that happens to you, knowing that every step forward is a step toward achieving something bigger and better than your current situation.' Amen!

[3] A Thing of Beauty:.. Heirloom Tomatoes of various shapes and sizes, as seen in a Farmer's Market in San Francisco. Check out other markets featured on this blog so far - UnionSqaure Green Market (NYC), the one in Mountain View (California) and another from Hyderabad (India)
