Quick Lemon Dal Recipe | Nimmakaya Pappu | Andhra Recipes

Learn how to make a quick lemon dal or nimmakaya pappu (as it is called in Telugu). What I love about this simple dal is the tangy lemon juice combined with soothing dal into almost a soup like consistency. It tastes perfect as-is with loaf of crusty bread, pour over cooked rice or as a side dish for rotis. If you are looking for easy dinner ideas for one, this recipe fares very well in that category too!

Ajwain Brown Rice Recipe | Vaamu Annam | Carom Seed Fried Rice | Andhra Recipes

Learn how to make easy fried rice with ajwain (or carom seeds), one of the quick and easy meals I tend to make during busy weekdays especially to use up leftover (white or brown) rice. Carom seeds are known for their numerous home remedies like to subside acidity, constipation, cold and even flu without any side effects. Ajwain (as it is called in Hindi) is one of the widely used spices in Indian cooking and it is recommended to use sparingly to reap its many benefits.

Simple Indian Beetroot Salad Recipe

Another easy variation is this roasted beet salad in yogurt dressing. These two salad recipes can be served as side dishes, main course-salads or just as healthy snacks.

So, here I am with a new recipe - "Coconut and Rava Laddu" (Sooji Ka Ladoo) for you all adapted from my BFF DK's blog - Chef In You. Just a handful of ingredients and less than 30 minutes of time is all that's needed to make my favorite laddu of all time.
