My Legume Love Affair (MLLA) 104th Edition

Hello lovely people! I know things have been pretty quiet in this corner of web world and I blame my incapability to manage work, home life and other hobbies as the main reason. I have been active on Instagram though as photo-blogging is so much easier than a proper blogpost. But, I promise to be more proactive in spending some time on blogging from now on. My mojo for cooking and trying new recipes hasn't changed though. It is just the photographing, editing, writing and publishing a post that takes a lot more effort. Probably, if I make things simple like using phone pics and write my thoughts on easy, every day recipes, then blogging might become much more manageable. Don't you think? While I ponder on that thought, I want to first kick things off for this year by hosting my favorite event in the entire blog-o-sphere: Lisa's My Legume Love Affair. February marks its 104th edition and now are you guys ready to get those aprons on, to rock & roll and to celebrate the goodness and versatility of our lovely legumes!

Rules are pretty much the same and once your recipe is posted, add the URL using the Linky tool attached to the end of this post.. Non-bloggers can participate too. Details inside the post. I can't wait to see your recipe entries all month long. Yay!.

Some simple rules of participation:

1. Only recipes where a legume is the star ingredient are to be sent.  Use of the above MLLA logo is appreciated.

In French, a legume denotes any vegetable but here we are talking about legume in its widely accepted or known meaning as in beans, lentils or pulses. Just to give you an idea of what should be considered as legumes for this event - lentils, any fresh or dried beans, soy beans and their derivatives like tofu, garbanzo beans / chickpeas and their derivatives like besan, tamarind, fenugreek, carob and peanuts etc.

2. Entries must be vegetarian (eggs and dairy products are allowed). Only 1 entry will be accepted per blogger/participant.

3. You may submit any recipe featuring lentils provided you have posted it on your blog between February 1st to 28th midnight. You can re-post old posts provided you re-post that recipe in this month and update it to include the necessary links to qualify for participation. If you don't own a blog, you can still participate by sending your recipe details to info(dot)siri(at)gmail(dot)com. I will feature them with your details in the final roundup post.

4. Your MLLA post should mention the phrase "My Legume Love Affair" and contain links to this announcement post, Lisa's page and to Susan’s page (original creator of MLLA).

5.  Add your blog entries (URL) in the Linky below. I will post a roundup featuring all recipes in the first week of March.
