Today's recipe is a simple, tangy and fulfilling snack that is so versatile to add anything you fancy and forgiving enough when it comes to ingredient amounts - Peanut Chaat. Not just during monsoons, this can be enjoyed as an appetizer on a papad canape maybe? or as a healthy salad anytime and any season. Peanut Chaat

Serves 1

Ingredients:

1 cup of raw peanuts with shells
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 small tomato, finely chopped
salt - to taste
1/4 tsp red chilli powder
a pinch of turmeric
1/4 tsp chaat masala (or cumin powder)
fresh coriander leaves, finely chopped
1/2 fresh lemon juice

Preparation:

Pressure cook peanuts with about 3 cups of water with some salt and turmeric for 3 to 4 whistles. Let the pressure subscide, drain and shell them into a mixing bowl. Add salt, onion, tomato, red chilli powder, chaat masala, coriander leaves and lemon juice. Toss together and Serve.

  10. Where are you finding these books? The Krishna Cuisine made me sit up and search for an index :p. Dunno if Lord Krishna sat up himself to take a look, but well Earthlings have known to do so many things in his name, so this won't surprise him as well :p. Pass my that plate. I need the reward for just looking up the F word book!
